February Member Meeting

Each month, Oklahoma Behavioral Health Association brings together its Members to discuss current industry trends and news from the organization. OBHA membership meetings are also key opportunities for Members and Partners to network amongst each other, create new business relationships, and stay up to date on developments within their fields. Finally, monthly meetings give Members the chance to meet invited public and private sector leaders, vendors and speakers in a closed, intimate setting. The monthly speaker will be announced prior to each meeting.
Continuing Education credits (1.5 hours) are available for most meetings. Lunch is provided.
About our Speaker : Representative Josh West, A District 5 Native:
Josh and his wife Elizabeth, who is also a veteran that served in the U.S. Air Force, have four children: Ethan, 8, Walker, 7, Katie, 2, Aubrey, 1. West graduated from Grove High School in 1995. He then attended Missouri Valley College on an athletic scholarship before deciding his mission was to serve in the U.S. Army. West understands the importance of the agriculture industry to our local area and for the last four years he has worked in management for Simmons Foods. West is a member of Elk River Baptist Church and has been a little league coach for his son’s baseball team for four years and is currently a coach with the Grove 3rd Grade football team.
Decorated Combat Veteran:
Josh West served in the U.S. Army for nine years including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the War on Terror. On October 16,2003 during a combat patrol in Iraq, West came under fire while protecting innocent civilians from enemy combatants. During the firefight West was shot numerous times, but continued directing suppressive fire on the insurgents and assisted in removing his Battalion Commander to safety after he was wounded. For his actions West was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for Valor.
